ty.net/sessionPop.cfm?confid=133&proposalid=12751\nAs data leaders, how are
you managing your data efforts? Is there an approach you follow, mayb
e based on something that already exists (SDLC, Agile) … but it just
does not seem to fit for your data initiatives? You are tasked with p
roviding data value for your organization … but struggle with focus
and how to effectively move forward. You have to do some creative juggling
of identifying, planning, and prioritizing tasks. You and your teams m
ake progress, but it continually feels like you’re “twisting pr
etzels” to deliver data. You may be following project management disc
iplines and have scrum teams in place … but it still does not feel r
ight …\n \nWell, you are not alone!\n \nWhat would he
lp is an approach – a framework designed to fit data efforts. Th
is is something I have struggled with for quite some time, then I came
upon the Data Leadership Framework (DLF). The DLF concept came o
ut in publication a couple of years ago (in the book "Data Leadership&
quot; by Anthony Algmin). This framework is focused on providing
outcome-based data value – not on how to delivery software applicatio
ns or how to set up infrastructure platforms. You are most likely following
tenets of the DLF, but don’t realize it. (At least, that is how I fe
lt.) Would you see benefit in such a framework?\n \nMAKE AN
IMPACT! Plan to attend this session on the DLF, and see how it makes sense,
and provides fit, for your data efforts!\n
